Kindergarten Information Fair

Richmond Waldorf School  (1000 Westover Hills Boulevard) has organized a Private School Kindergarten Information Fair this Thursday, October 25 – 6:30-8:30 p.m. They’ve gathered quite a list of local private schools for you to check out. Participating schools include:

Richmond Unite recently closed the voting for Richmond area non-profits to receive grants. In order to get the grant the non-profit had to have over 1,000 folks vote for it. Last year Richmond Unite handed out $107,000 to 29 RVA area charities including a Patrick Henry gift of $4,086. The amount that each recieved was determined by the number of votes they got online. Beloved Local Teacher Dies Over Weekend

Over the Weekend Phil Pollard a teacher at Richmond Waldorf School died as the result of a stroke suffered on Thursday. There is a short obituary in the RTD but this story at Knoxville.com does a much better job of telling you who Phil was and the impression he left on those he knew and taught.

Waldorf Chalk Walk-a-thon on Saturday
