How Would You Change Forest Hill Park?

This question is being asked by the folks of the Forest Hill Neighborhood Association and they want your input. Not only are they asking the question they actually plan to do something about it.

To entertain suggestions regarding park improvement projects, to begin establishing the priority order of these projects, to build consensus, and to establish a clear short-term goal, at the January 14th FHNA meeting we recorded suggestions in the online survey for park improvement projects. When the survey is complete we will vet the proposals with the Department of Parks and Recreation, Friends of Forest Hill Park, the Westover Hills and Woodland Heights associations, and establish our short-term single project goal at a future FHNA meeting.

Direct link to the survey

The survey is brief and there is some additional information on their website. The Forest Hill Neighborhood Association is very active and I look forward to seeing what the new project will be and I am secretly hoping that they plan to rebuild the rollercoaster. If you would like to become more directly involved with FHNA their next meeting is March 11th, 7:00 p.m. at the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church.

Armed Robbery on 47th

Via the Forest Hill Neighborhood Association, we’ve learned of an armed robbery on W. 47th Street last night, wherein “a black male approached a resident exiting their vehicle on 47th Street and displayed a handgun. After robbing the resident the black male subject took off on foot running northbound towards the apartments on Forest Hill.”

Anyone with additional information to add is urged to contact Noah Rogers at 358-8340 or noahrogers@comcast.net.
