VDOT considering adding fee to EZ-Pass transponders

I have no hard evidence to back this up but I feel that a good percentage of Southbankers take advantage of the EZ-Pass system since we are nearly surrounded by tolls. According to the RTD, VDOT is bouncing around the idea of adding a $1 monthly fee for the privilege of using a transponder. It [...]

Traffic circle complaint

Any story on traffic circles tend to be instant conversation starters. I’ve gone on record as stating that I’m a supporter of traffic circles but might be in the minority. Questions for Richmond’s Bike, Pedestrian, and Trails Czar

Technically he is a a coordinator but I think Czar has a much better ring to it.  RVA News broke the news in this post. Jakob C. Helmboldt is the name of the coordinator and he has an incredibly easy task. <sarcasm> The City’s new Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Trails Program has the goal of making Richmond [...]

If you live near the Walgreens on the corner of Forest Hill Ave. and Westover Hills Blvd. you have probably taken the back route behind the Dollar Store and the former Shoe Warehouse. You won’t be taking that route anymore.

This falls into the category of old news but at a gathering over the holiday a couple of folks didn’t know about this so I don’t see any harm in posting some stale information.
