President Obama rally to be held at Carillon
President Barack Obama will appear at a rally Thursday at the Carillon in Byrd Park as part of a two-day, six-state tour this week.
Doors open at 9 a.m. for the event, which is free and open to the public, but tickets or an online RSVP is required.
Tickets are available at http://va.barackobama.com or can be picked up starting Tuesday, and on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the campaign offices in Richmond at 408 E. Main St. or 617 E. Belt Ave.; the office at Virginia Commonwealth University, 935 West Grace St.; or one of two offices in Henrico County at 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Suites 103 and 105, or 4719 Nine Mile Road.
Obama’s two-day tour will start Wednesday in Iowa before taking him to Colorado, Nevada, Florida, Virginia and Ohio. The campaign originally announced the Virginia event as a “tarmac event.”

Does anyone know from past experience or insider knowledge exactly how early they mean when they say “arrive early”? It says doors open at 9, but when should I plan on arriving? I will have a child in tow, so time is valuable! Thanks in advance.
@Whitney, not sure on how early but if you are not walking or biking there then keep in mind that parking is at the Stadium and you will be bused over according to this:
