Senior Weatherization Kit giveaway on Friday

The Department of Public Utilities is hosting its annual Senior Weatherization Kit Giveaway, Friday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pleasants Hardware, 2024 W. Broad Street. Richmond residents 65 and over can drop by and pick up a free box of home weatherization samples such as window sheeting, socket covers, energy saving lightbulbs, door weatherstripping and draft blockers. Utility Buddy will be there to pose for photos! Organizations that provide senior services will also be available to answer questions and distribute information. Plus, snacks!
