Vote for local non-profits to receive grants
Last year Richmond Unite handed out $107,000 to 29 RVA area charities including a Patrick Henry gift of $4,086. The amount that each recieved was determined by the number of votes they got online. The image above are just some of the charities you can vote for and as you can see there are 3 in our area, Patrick Henry School, Positive Vibe Cafe, and Richmond Waldorf School.
You can vote here once per day until midnight on 9/15. After an organization reaches 1,000 votes, they then will vie for their portion of the grant distribution based on their total vote count. It’s pretty simple more votes = more cash. There is a registration process but it isn’t a big deal. Spread the word and help out this fine organizations.
Voting is great but I’m sure that every charity on this list would also love some of your time, so if you can contact any of these worthy organizations and see if you can help out. Volunteering is harder than pressing a button but ultimately more rewarding.
