Taza expansion details
It hasn’t been a secret that Taza was moving downstairs and taking over part of the so called Antique Shop. What I hadn’t heard were any details of exactly what was going to happen in the new space and when it was going to open. Thanks to Richmond Magazine.com we have answers to both those questions. They hope to open in the new spot in the fall, vague I know but it gives us an idea. As for what we’ll see, read below.
The new downstairs will include the established café with an expanded menu in addition to a small market section, stage area and various shops. Shop vendors are still in the process of signing contracts with TaZa.
TaZa was motivated by the response from the neighborhood, Cherenzia says. “They really embraced us. We were really too small.”
Poetry readings and local entertainment will take up TaZa’s stage, while customers can shop for fresh produce, regional wine and beer, meat and gourmet cheese at the marketplace.

Pumped for this.
Exciting news!
