Three Shootings erupt on Southside, one fatal
The shooting that was fatal was in our H&H area. The map above shows the fatal shooting, click on it to see the locations of the non-fatal shootings. There is very little information at this time. I expect to update this story tomorrow morning. For now we have this from CBS 6.
Around 8:30 p.m. shots rang out at the Southwood apartments, off of Treehaven Drive, not too far from Hull Street. One person is confirmed dead and there is no suspect yet in custody.
And just minutes later, a shooting in the 3400 block of Midlothian. That individual has been taken to the hospital.
These are developing stories and we will have more information starting at 11 p.m.
A third shooting occurred just after 10 p.m., confirmed by Gene Lepley with the Richmond Police Department.
The shooting happened off Lenmore Street, not too far from Oak Grove Elementary School.

While these are in the RVA area, they were not near H&H. The areas according to your map are farther out in southside. No matter where it is we should always have situational awareness of our surroundings.
I disagree JoeyG. The one I highlighted I consider right on the edge of the H&H zone, as I stated the other 3 are outside. I have several readers very close to the shooting and it occurred close enough to the folks that live around Fonticello that it warrants posting.
3400 block of Midlothian is Reedy Creek.
Ahhhh, that would explain the police vehicles on Midlo when I was returning home from walking my dog just after 8:30 last night. 1 block from my house…always comforting.
