RTD reviews Parkside
I’m afraid to admit that I haven’t been to the re-opened Parkside so I’ll leave the personal experiences up to my fellow readers. Dana Craig of RTD has a review up today and her headline of “Pleasant Parkside needs intensity” sums up her review very well.
Unfortunately, the theme of our entree choices was lack of seasoning. Nothing we tried was bad per se, but each dish fell just this side of flat in the pizzazz category.
Wide ribbons of house-made tagliatelle Bolognese ($9) were topped with plenty of chunky ground beef, but the intense garlic aroma came from the garlic bread. However, the generous portion proved better as leftovers after the flavors had time to mingle.

I find the restaurant very pleasant, food very tasty and reasonably priced! Had very positive experience with staff, too.
We had dinner there post re-opening and enjoyed it. We’ll be returning soon.
I highly recommend going for brunch.
Everything is tasty, but the 4 dollar breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon (good bacon!), home fries and toast is delicious and cheap!
Had lunch recently. Very good.
Genuine Bolognese sauce does not have garlic in it.

Had dinner there with the family last week. We were all pleased with the food and attentive service. The menu has plenty of choices at reasonable prices. The portions were healthy, making me feel like I got good value for my $$. It took me a while to get around to “dropping in”, but Parkside is now on my regular list of local eat out spots. Keep up the great work Brian and staff!!
