Ajax Aleworks heading to Manchester

Richmond BizSense.com has the full story but I’ll give you some tidbits.

Coleman Stump and Josh Bennett are in the process of launching Ajax Aleworks, a craft microbrewery that will make 15 to 20 brews on a rotating, seasonal basis.

The two are in talks to lease a 1,300-square-foot space in Manchester, about five blocks from the Legend Brewery at the corner of 2nd and Decatur streets. Ajax plans to set up a four-barrel brewing system, enough to make eight kegs at a time.

The brewery plans to sell draft beer to local restaurants and from a bar that will be located at the brewery. Things are looking up for Manchester if you like craft alcoholic beverages. There is the flagship Legend Brewing, Blue Bee Cider which is making progress on their build out and now Ajax. Now all we need is the return of the trolley system so I can safely navigate between the booze and home.

The map is of the trolley system from 1930 and can be see in it’s full size glory here.
