Buttermilk Trail needs some volunteers
As you can see from the photo above Mother Nature feels that the mountain bikers need to take a different route through her forest. In order to fix the trail a major re-route is needed. Volunteers from Richmond-MORE will be meeting at Reedy Creek parking lot at 9am and hiking east (~1/4 mile) on Buttermilk to the work site. If anyone is available to work during the week, please email Nathan aka “Trails Master”: Nathan.Burrell@Richmondgov.com. Bring gloves, water, a snack, and long pants are advised due to poison ivy.
Update from MORE: Good news. The boardwalk will be able to be saved. After cutting out the tree, the rootball stood back up It will still need a lot of work tomorrow morning though – repairing the boardwalk and removing some unsavable sections. Hopefully we can get a lot of volunteers out early and finish before it gets too hot.

@HillsHeights are volunteers needed for Saturday?
Repairs have been completed. There apparently was a great volunteer turnout yesterday and the boardwalk is back in place and rideable!
