Paulo Franco & The Rateros (ra-TE-ros) hail from Richmond, Virginia. They play a unique blend of rock, old school country, alt-country and blues. The music draws heavily from influences like Steve Earle and the Graham Parsons inspired music of the Rolling Stones. They also feature covers from varied artists like the Long Ryders, The Silos, and take on covers from Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan.
