Riverside Outfitters to rent kayaks and bikes on Brown’s Island
Local biz River City Outfitters will soon be making access to the river easier for those in the city. From RTD;
That fruit will ripen on June 15 when Riverside Outfitters, which runs guided raft trips on the James River, opens an outpost on Brown’s Island that will rent bikes, sit-on-top kayaks and standup paddleboards. The ticket kiosk building, which Perry said will be made to look like a surf hut, will be used as the headquarters.
“The idea is that it’s an oasis in the middle of the city,” he said. “Hammocks and music and cold drinks in coolers and cornhole. When you’re walking by you’re going to say, ‘Jeez, that’s unbelievable.’”
Great idea and I hope they have a ton of success.
