Become a farmers’ market vendor

Judging by the smiles I see on 90% of the vendors faces at our South of the James Farmers’ Market and the Winter Market it looks to be a pretty good gig. I wasn’t able to successful turn my yard into a commercial garden this year but some of you might have the product to sell. If so, now’s your chance. Market Umbrella, which supervises our two markets is currently accepting applications for vendors. Deadline for South of the James is February 15th and for the Winter Market it’s January 15th. At that previous link you can also apply for the market at First Fridays and the Virginia Street Market.

Don’t forget that the Winter Market is going strong and is every Saturday at the Patrick Henry School building from 10 – 12. There will be 40-50 volunteers at the school building getting ready for the first day of the new school on Monday. Expect more people walking around and a bit less parking.
