Scrapper Hitting The Hood
Reprint of an email that reminds us that our local scrappers don’t take a holiday.
We were home (4500 block of New Kent) this morning at 10:30 and noticed a blue and white older pickup truck drive by. About 90 seconds later, that truck was parked at the end of our driveway and a man (black, about 6′, 200+ lbs., in blue and black sweatclothes) was walking up the driveway and then slowly into our yard, looking around. We lost sight of him for a half minute as he went around the front of the house and we called the police. He came back around to the side yard and driveway, looked side to side, and then picked up an old rusty cabinet sitting at the side of the yard. He put it in the back of his truck and drove away. The police responded, looking through the side streets for him. They didn’t find him but came by and took our report.

I wish you could make an appointment with these guys. I have an old stove and fridge I would love for them to take. Send them to 32nd Street if you see them.
I have some metal for people like this who illegally trespass on my property. It’s called a bullet. It probably won’t fetch them a lot of cash at the scrap yard, but I’m confident it would leave a lasting impression.
