Give A Pile Of Cuteness A Home

From Top to Bottom: Amos, Digit, Dylan
Dylan, Amos and Digit are basset/lab mix puppies looking for homes (mom was a basset, dad was a lab). They are about 8 weeks old (two weeks older than they are in the pictures), and have had their first set of shots. They’ll have their second set of shots and be neutered before they go home with their new families (this will likely happen a week before Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving week). They are all super sweet and snuggly, but have their feisty moments, too, like any puppy. They love to romp and play in the yard or gallop around the house after the cats, but they also love to cuddle up on the couch with us. If you are interested in adopting one of them, they are available through www.henricohumane.org, and feel free to contact me with any questions as well — emilygambone@gmail.com.
Puppies are a lot of fun, but hard work, too, so please make sure you’re ready for one before you fill out an application. There are many, many dogs past puppyhood waiting for homes as well who would make wonderful additions to a family. If anyone is looking for a specific kind of personality in a dog or cat, I encounter a lot of dogs and cats up for adoption and would be more than happy to help play match maker! All the shelters are very full right now (plenty of kittens and puppies, too) as many people are giving up their animals due to economic difficulties, and they could definitely use more adopters and foster homes so space isn’t the deciding factor in whether an animal gets a second chance. I’d be happy to provide more information about fostering, and if you’re on Facebook, please consider “liking” www.facebook.com/fosterme and sharing it in order to spread the word about animals in need of fosters. Thank you!

A pile of cuteness indeed! Wish I could take all of them but already have 3 and they are quite a handful! Plus Kitty wouldn’t be pleased (are they ever?)
I really want to see the legs of these puppies. I’m wondering if that’s where the basset part of their parentage can be seen!
Page, at the point these pictures were taken, they looked all lab. Two weeks later, they have longer bodies (especially Digit), and Dylan and Amos are starting to look more basett like in headshape, Digit still has a lab head. The woman who was trying to dump them at the shelter was also trying to dump a two-year-old dog from the same parents. I didn’t see them, but apparently he looked just like a black lab on short legs.
OMG, I had a lab named Amos….too cute, but I have 2 of my own to find a home for!
Thank you, Richard! It looks like Dylan has found a home through this post with a Hills and Heights reader! Digit is also spoken for, though I don’t know the source of his application. Just little Amos left! His brothers will be going to their new homes this weekend!
