Heating Oil Stolen
Received an email about an oil thief.
I discovered over the weekend that my outside oil tank was recently emptied by theives and was probably done during the day and probably done by a oil delirvery type of truck. It was full and a large truck would be necessary to steal 275 gallons, plus it would not look suspicious, who would suspect a oil truck to be stealing oil and not delivering it. Be aware for yourself and your neighbors. I live in 4300 block of Stonewall Ave.

Unfortunately, I’ve been hearing this alot lately, last one in Strattford Hills area. I own a heating & air company, guess that’s why I hear about these things….
We live on the border of Willow Oaks and Stratford Hills. My family and I were out on Halloween night trick or treating, and we saw an oil truck doing at least 45 mph, in the rain, in a residential neigborhood, with trick or treaters out. We thought this was very odd at the time. Then we saw him again speeding down a blind hill in the rain. Now that I’m hearing about these oil thefts, the truck seems more suspicious. What do you think? Is this paranoia or does it merit a call to RIchmond Police?
I would think that first, get the company name on the side and call the owner up to voice your extremely valid concerns about his employees behavior.
I would give the police a call on the non-emergency number (646-5100) and let them know what you saw. The more information they have the better they can do their jobs.
Yes, I would make a non emergency call and I would look for a license plate before looking for a company name. If this guy is up to no good, a company name is worthless.
