Riverfront Plan Forum Tuesday

The City of Richmond invites the public to the second Public Forum on the Richmond Riverfront Plan on Tuesday, October 18 at 6 p.m. at the Virginia War Memorial, located at 621 South Belvidere Street near the Robert E. Lee Bridge.  You can check out the slide portion of the study online.  James River News Hub has been paying better attention than me so check his links here. Ross over at RVANews pulled out what he feels are the most interesting maps and has some additional commentary. 

The goal is to develop a plan that will:

• Establish the river as the focus of the community
• Promote a sustainable river corridor
• Strengthen linkages between the river and adjacent neighborhoods
• Identify sites for strategic private redevelopment and public improvements
• Evaluate potential for quality open spaces and public recreational opportunities
