Another Lost Dog – Updated 10/14

From Westover Hills Stay Watch;
We received several reports this morning (10/13) of a boxer/pit bull mix running loose in the vicinity of New Kent and Prince Edward and eluding all efforts to capture him. Finally, this evening, he came in from the humidity and is in custody. A photograph of him is attached.
He is a male tan and white boxer/pit mix, approximately 50-60 pounds. He has a dark collar, but no tags.
If you know his owner, please call Kathy ASAP at 230-4103.
Original post.
Several people reported seeing a tall brown and white Boxer/Pit (approximately 60-70 pounds) on Thursday morning running loose in Westover Hills in the vicinity of Evelyn Byrd/New Kent/Caledonia and Prince Edward. He(?) is wearing a dark red/black collar. He is not allowing anyone to get near him.
We have received no reports of anyone losing a dog of that description. If he is yours or you know whose he might be, you know where to look!

I returned two Labrador Retrievers to the fenced backyard that they’d managed to dig out of. I was grateful that they both wore tags with their names, addresses and phone numbers, but I’d like to urge people to use their CELL phone numbers on these tags.
The owners of these particular labs weren’t at home, perhaps they’d run to the store, perhaps they’d gone to work for the day, either way, a home phone is only useful when you’re actually home.
I would also remind folks that leaving their dogs in a fenced backyard when they’re not home is a risky proposition. I was very lucky that these labs were so friendly and willing to come to me, otherwise they’d still be loose!
Did those labs happen to live on Prince Edward?
