Westover Hills Neighborhood Association Meets Thursday
From the WHNA website;
Plans for improving the children’s playground at the corner of the Boulevard and New Kent will be a focus of the next regular meeting of the WHNA board. The meeting is set for Thursday, October 13, at 7 p.m. at the Westover Hills United Methodist Church on Westover Hills Boulevard. All residents of Westover Hills are welcome to attend.
The equipment at the playground is nearing the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. The Westover Hills United Methodist Church, which owns the “tot lot,” has consulted safety and playground experts and come up with an exciting new plan for the rehabilitation. The church is committed to keeping this one of Richmond’s best playgrounds for the toddler and preschool set. The church and WHNA’s Playground committee, chaired by Lucia O’Connell, have been working together on the playground improvement plan. They will present the initial plan for the new playground and fundraising efforts. So come to the WHNA meeting to hear about the plans and find out what you can do to help.
