Make A Difference 5K on 10/22

Richmond, Virginia-based The Pediatric Connection, an independent pediatric home health care company, is participating in USA WEEKEND’s Make A Difference Day on October 22, 2011 by hosting the Make A Difference 5K Walk/Run to benefit Child Savers. ChildSavers is a non-profit dedicated to addressing the mental and developmental needs of children in the Richmond area. The 5K Walk/Run will begin at 1300 Semmes Avenue at 9:00am on Saturday, October 22, 2011 followed by a family fun fair. For two decades, USA WEEKEND and HandsOn Network, a business unit of Points of Light Institute, have joined together to sponsor Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of helping others. Make A Difference Day takes place on the 4th Saturday in October each year.
Make A Difference Day is supported by Newman’s Own, which provides $10,000 donations to charities selected by each of 10 national honorees.
On Saturday, October 22, 2011, HandsOn Network together with USA WEEKEND and Newman’s Own will not only seize the moment to inspire, equip and mobilize corporations, nonprofit organizations, families and individuals to improve their communities, but also engage them to get HandsOn! throughout the year.
