Riverfront Concept Plan
The city commissioned a study by Hargreaves Associates to develop a plan for the RVA waterfront. Two weeks ago there was the first of 3 meetings to discuss the Richmond waterfront and the initial findings were presented. You can check out the slide portion of the study online. James River News Hub has been paying better attention than me so check his links here. Ross over at RVANews pulled out what he feels are the most interesting maps and has some additional commentary. The next meetings to discuss the findings of the study are October 18th and December 13th. Once those meetings occur an actual plan will be presented as currently this is more of taking inventory stage.
What odds do you give a waterfront plan (assuming it is a good plan) being acted upon?

I hate to say it, but the odds of a solid plan actually being acted upon are mighty slim in my book. Hope to be wonderfully surprised someday!
Go City Hall! Shock us all!
Matt,
Sadly, I have to agree with you on your point. The city’s track record of failures speaks for itself. All the incompetence and idiocy in the mayor’s office, city hall, and counsel will again probably keep this from coming to fruition.
