Homicide on Riverside Drive

At approximately 5 a.m. Richmond Police were called to the 8200 block of Riverside Drive for the report of a person down. Upon arrival officers found a male in a wooded area suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death. Richmond Police detectives are currently in the early stages of a homicide investigation.

Update 10:30 – Richmond Police have identified the victim in this morning’s shooting on Riverside Drive as Osbin N. Hernandez-Gonzales, 18, of the 2900 block of Falling Creek Avenue , Chesterfield .
