Patrick Henry Volunteer Opportunities

School is out for the summer but work still goes on at the Commonwealth’s only elementary charter school, Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts. Due to the nature of being a charter school, the tenuous support of RPS, and the situation with the temporary home, the school is heavily reliant on volunteers. This month there are 3 chances to show your support of PHSSA by lending a helping hand.

• Saturday 7/9 – 9am-12pm – Meet at Woodland Heights Baptist Church (31st Street entrance) to help empty out the classrooms so they can be thoroughly cleaned and floors shampooed. Any questions, email: info@patrickhenrycharter.org
• Monday 7/11 – 1pm-3pm – Meet at Woodland Heights Baptist Church to move raised garden beds from that location to a permanent home at the Patrick Henry School building on Semmes. First hour is expected to be at Woodland Height Baptist, the rest of the time at the Patrick Henry building. If you can help email: anne.shelton36@comcast.net.
