Dogs Steal Car Get Approximately 300 Ft. Before Crashing

The dogs were named Thelma and Louise. Although I joke it could have been tragic if a child had been in the intersection. From RTD;

For starters, the dogs were not driving. They were apparently just innocent passengers when their human forgot to properly put the car in park at a South Richmond convenience store, and it began rolling across the lot, Richmond police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh said.

Waugh said the owner pulled her orange Hyundai sedan into the parking lot of a convenience store at Jahnke and Blakemore roads shortly before 1 p.m. and left the dogs in the car while she went inside to shop.

Moments later, someone called police to report that an orange Hyundai with two dogs and no humans inside had just gone through the intersection and struck a tree.

“The car was not properly in gear” when the owner left the vehicle, Waugh said.
