Clean the James on Saturday

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday folks all along the James will be working to remove trash from in and around the James River. This is the 12th year of the clean-up organized by the James River Advisory Council. Last year over 1,000 volunteers removed 500 bags of trash and almost 300 bags of recycling. Online registration is closed but you can just show up at 8:30 at either Pony Pasture or Reedy Creek to volunteer. Remember to wear closed-toe shoes, bring water and gloves.
