Thrift Store Coming to Jahnke

Below is the press release is for a new charitable thrift and consignment shop that will be coming to our area later this month. What makes this a unique shop is that the money goes to support youth sports activities including my favorite soccer. The official opening of the shop is June 15th and I’ll have another post about a community event on June 18th behind Lucille Brown School. If any of your yard sales didn’t move all of your items please consider making a donation.

Please donate furniture, clothing, electronics, household items, etc.

Please call and we will pickup your donation or you can drop them off at our 6207 Jahnke Rd. Our pickup day is Tuesdays, but we will work to accommodate your needs.

Bobcat Sports League was formed to encourage, teach and sponsor inner city, underserved, multicultural youth sports activities. We service, underserved youth by offering a safe place to play, and preventing and controlling child hood obesity. We will teach sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, and a healthy life style actively and through example. We are a charitable 501(c)3 organization, able to provide receipts for your gifts.

We encourage family participation, community service and leadership. These goals are set forth for the young and the old. Our triple play is set to meet the physical, nutrition and social needs of our youth.

Profits from donated goods will be used to provide equipment and educational materials for our area youth. Our educational programs provide instruction in proper nutrition for a healthy lifestyle, life skills, and antismoking, drug, gang/ violence. Please remember that your donation will help assist the kids in our area. Your help is needed to make this a success.
