Volunteer Mowers Needed at PHSSA

Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts now controls the lease of the Patrick Henry school on Semmes, which is a good thing but does have some challenges. That means the school is responsible for maintaining the school grounds. School officials are hoping to recruit some parents and/or neighbors to help with the basic maintenance such as mowing and weed whacking. If you can help out, let me know at richard.hayes13@yahoo.com. Hopefully we’ll get enough volunteers that it won’t be a burden on anyone’s summer fun schedule.

Work is scheduled to start on the building proper on July 1st and Phase 1 will be completed in November. The current plan is to continue with the temporary location at Woodland Heights Baptist Church until Christmas break. When the students come back from Christmas break it will be in their new home.
