Two Stolen Scooter Updates – Good News

From Sherri (posted yesterday);

The black and white Honda Ruckus scooter that was stolen from our fenced/locked yard last week was found today (YAY!).

A neighbor found it dumped in the alley behind Bobby’s Garage under some brush and garbage bags. It wasn’t in that location a few days ago so it must have been somewhere else and when they weren’t successful in whatever they wanted to do with it, they dumped it.

Thanks to our neighbor, Mike, for finding it. And BOO to whoever took it in the first place. A pox on your family, crook!

Additional good scooter news: The Buddy 50 scooter stolen from the neighborhood of W 32nd St and Forest Hill Ave on the weekend of May 8-9, 2011, was recovered today as well.

The silver Fly 150 scooter that was stolen from 2000 Riverside on May 16 is still at large, and was seen being ridden by two young males. They were traveling west on Bassett Ave near the train tracks late last week. Please call the police if you see that scooter (or any other scooter that looks suspect).

Of course, two other scooters were stolen yesterday, one from Bassett Ave and one from the Jahnke Rd area.

Last but not least, I saw a man riding a Honda Metro (light blue and white) on Saturday evening without a helmet. He was at W 26nd St and Riverside. It looked like he was probably a friend of someone in the neighborhood who was just taking the scoot around the block for a spin, but it may have been something more nefarious as well. Please contact me directly if you know anything about this person.
