Asian Galaxy Review
Richmond.com takes a bite at Asian Galaxy and for the most part liked what they found.
The attention paid to the décor and the very polite staff make for a great simple date place or a fun night out for the family. Sushi lovers will likely fancy the elegant sushi bar with its tasty creations. While purists looking for authenticity may have to keep looking, anyone out for great tasting food that is a step above that usually found in casual Asian eateries is in luck.
Read the full review since they tried something from every part of the menu. I’ve been a little less impressed with my meals finding them a bit too bland for my taste. I haven’t tried the sushi yet so that will be next on my list. I’ve heard that the Hibachi Express over by Lowes has good sushi as well but haven’t made it over there.

I can vouch for the red curry. Best in town so far.
We had a great experience at Asian Galaxy, the atmosphere is surprisingly nice but we got take out because we didn’t know what to expect in there (we may dine in next time). We both got old standby “comfort” Chinese food (chick and broc/orange chick) and decided we will branch out since the first meal was so good. It also seemed fresher and less greasy than some. The staff was really friendly too. Looking forward to trying the sushi and more on the menu.
I’ve had their Tekka Don twice–it’s lovely!
I hope they start offering delivery.
Agree we need delivery! They did deliver a menu to the front door today!
E.A.T.
I live in Bon Air, and have been wondering about this place, and will now try it out. BTW, I went to Hibachi Express a few weeks ago, and they do have great sushi IMO.
We did ask about delivery and they said they will for over $25, not sure how far they will go though…I would call and ask
Went last night for takeout sushi. You can get three rolls for $10.50 and there is a large selection to choose from. We got eel and avocado, spicy tuna and yellow tail with jalepeno. They were all excellent. We will be back.
If you are a big fan of a Chinese carry out menu but a little concerned that you might look too cheap for your date then this is definitely a place to go. If you are looking for the real Asian cuisine then stay away from this place. It seems like the secret recipe for their Thai and Chinese dishes is ketchup. Overall the food is OK but not great. Maybe a little pricey for it’s quality.
