Dialysis Center Coming to Blockbuster?
I have heard from two sources that the currently empty Blockbuster building on Forest Hill Avenue is slated to become a dialysis facility. There are some land use issue (no details) but no expected roadblocks to prevent this from happening.
Not opposed to this, but I was just kind of hoping something a little more exciting would come there. It is not something that is really going to attract people to the area (except for those with bad kidneys of course).
I hope they make it a little easier to get a fire truck coming from the east up in that parking lot.
Works for me. I had visions of that place going to seed like the neighboring dollar store did a couple years ago.
Not opposed I suppose but why there? Forest Hill needs a bit of a makeover. *ugh*
a permanent farmers market or green grocer would serve everyone in the area better. This is not an improvement to the area just more traffic.
The more things change……that area was a medical complex to begin with.
@Lesley, that’s what I said to my husband on Saturday when we went by the old Blockbuster building.
The site is convenient for patients who take buses, with parking and drugstores nearby.
