House Fire at Semmes & Forest Hill Ave.

No injuries were reported in the early morning fire in the old brick building directly across from Patrick Henry School. Traffic was a mess including a small fender bender pictured in the slideshow. The building looks to be heavily damaged. Some local news coverage after the break.

City River Recreation Inspection Program

Starting in May of this year the city is implementing a new program that any river floating device using the James River within city will be required to pass a simple yearly inspection and display a color coded sticker.
