Forest Hill Regatta Cancelled
I’ve gotten word that the Forest Hill Regatta planned for May 14th has been cancelled. The reason for the cancellation is a lack of entries and volunteers. The Forest Hill Neighborhood Association determined that rather than proceed with an event with low turnout in attendance and competitors it would be better to cancel.
The are hoping to re-float the Regatta in 2012.
I just learned about this today. Very sorry this didn’t become a tradition. There is so much to be proud of in Forest Hill Park, I’d hate for people to lose the momentum from the lake dredging. Competing with Dominion Riverrock is a tough call however….
Who’s idea was it to schedule FH regatta same weekend as Dominion River Rock?
