James River News Hub has another great write up and pictures. My second year at the Festival was much like the first.
Learned about some products, projects, I hadn’t seen but didn’t take notes so can’t summarize well. Watched the kid have a blast with the crafts, talk to chickens and then dance herself goofy. I drank some Legend Brown and had a bit of BBQ while listening to music with friends. Saw lots of neighbors as vendors, volunteers, peformers and as festival goers. This is a great little festival that I’m hoping sticks around. I didn’t see all the bands but I’m agreeing with Phil and picking
Amazing Ghost as my music favorite. I would be remiss if I didn’t also give a shout out to Southbank residents Barry Bless and Pippin Barnett of the
Richmond Gourd Indigenous Orchestra who were awesome as well.
So bummed I missed it!
Thought the festival was better attended this year, but I didn’t get to walk around much as I was busy selling compost bins and rain barrels. The Clean City Commission sold at least a couple of hundred of each. Really enjoyed the music and the people watching while helping out Ma Earth.
