Volunteer at Manchester Earthday Festival

Manchester Earth Day Festival is on April 23rd. It takes about 200 volunteers to run the show, so as you can imagine lots of of folks are needed to help out. Some of the tasks include, Set-up Chiefs, Vendor Greeters, Traffic Jedis, Info Station Experts, Eco Station Warriors, and Clean-up Gurus. Volunteer online with through HandsOn Greater Richmond.

About the Manchester Earth Day Festival
Since 2006, Style Weekly, Richmond Parks and Recreation, Art Works,
Backyard Farmers, and the Enrichmond Foundation have teamed up to host Richmond’s only Earth Day Festival. The festival takes place every
year in Manchester between 1st and 4th streets and seeks to spread
knowledge and passion for the environment through fun and educational
activities for all ages.

The 2011 Earth Day Festival will showcase the best of Richmond’s green
artists, businesses and enthusiasts. Attractions include Richmond’s
Fish Festival, 3rd Street sustainable workshops organized by Backyard
Farmer, 4th Street artists showcase and demonstrations organized by
Art Works, an outdoor gear swap, Green Hero Awards, local food
vendors, over 60 exhibitors offering resources and education on our
environment, and free music.

Proceeds from the Earth Day Festival benefit Enrichmond, a nonprofit
organization that supports Richmond parks, recreation, and cultural
activities through citizen involvement, education and fundraising.
