Attempted Abduction on East 34th

Richmond Police say a man (sketch of the suspect above) tried to abduct a 14-year-old girl in the 100 block of East 34th Street around 6:45 a.m. Friday.

Officials say the teen managed to escape when a passerby scared away the man.

Detectives describe the suspect as a black male between 35 to 45 and around 5′ 8″ tall with a slim build.

The man was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, cargo pants, sneakers and latex gloves.

Police are asking the public’s help to identify the man and released a sketch of the suspect.
