Tell the Mayor what to do with his budget
Your right to complain about how the city prioritizes the budget will be cast in doubt if you don’t attend this meeting.
Let your voice be heard! For these series of meetings, through the use of technology, you will have a chance to vote on what you feel the top spending priorities should be. When you come to one or all of the four (4) forums below, you will have the opportunity to give direct input on where you would like the City to focus its resources and put your tax dollars to work. We hope to see you at “A Community Conversation: Priorities for City Spending.” Remember your vote is the way to ensure that your voice is heard.

Why don’t they just put the 8000 items budget items online and we get to notate our top 10?
I believe in priority budgeting. Let’s get some direct democracy on it.
What is important to H & H neighborhoods? Is it public works issues, such as streets, solid waste etc? Is it public schools, public parks, public utilities, public safety?
I think it could be useful if we could agree on an issue, or a couple of issues, such as refurbishing the merchants area at Westover Hills and Forest Hill Avenues, investing some public dollars in the area, think what it could mean for both communities.
Take the money going to Center Stage and put it directly into school building and park renovations.
I expect a rescinding of the meals tax increase, which leaders promised would happen after Center Stage was built.
Jewell and Graziano bear responsibility for this.
I agree with earlier post, improve westover and forest hills ave merchant area! create new sidewalks in some areas and create more off road biking and hiking whether through old railroad or current dumping grounds. increase police presence. in a different matter, litter cleanup for commun service and everyone should ask the city the last time a ticket was issued for littering? just tired of seeing fast food dumped out of cars while someone’s sitting at a traffic light. thanks.
All good ideas. Come tell the Mayor.
By the way, the merchant’s area cleanup planned for later this spring uses community service workers.
