Mobile Pizza Oven at South-er of the James Farmers’ Market
If you need a new reason to head to the South-er of the James Farmers’ Market this Saturday, I’ve got one for you. How about hot wood fired pizza cooked before your very eyes? The good folks of Pizza Tonight best known for their delightful pizza kits now has portable wood fired pizza oven that will get it’s first public viewing this Saturday. There was a private event on Thursday so you won’t be the first in RVA to try this out but you can certainly be the first in the H&H area. More details from the Pizza Tonight blog;
We are also very happy to add that WE WILL BE SELLING PIZZAS THIS SATURDAY AT THE SOUTHER OF THE JAMES MARKET!!!! Yes, sooner than we thought we are up and out of the gate this weekend. We will be offering a variety of different pizzas and drinks and can’t wait to share them with you. You will still be able to purchase Pizza Tonight bundled kits and sauces but Pizza Tonight On Site will be in full effect.
The market will be open as usual from 10-12 in the lot next to the Blockbuster. Market Umbrella usually has a list of vendors up on their Facebook page.

We are so excited, prepped and ready to go! Get there early for your pick of the 5 pizzas we will offer. See you tomorrow!
We had a BAM which was Bacon, Apple, Maple pizza which rocked. The combo of sweet and salt made for quite a tasty treat. They were doing pretty steady business. A great addition to the market.
We had a white pizza with mushroom & gruyere that was delectable. Plus, it was fun keeping warm whilst watching our very own pizza get hot and crispy!
Our hot margharitta pizza was terrific this morning! Need a table and chairs out there so next time we can order a bunch and sit and eat. Yummm.
Sounds fun and good. How much do these pizzas cost?
The pizzas cooked there are around 7-8 bucks and feed 2. the pizza kits with sauce and dough serve about 4 and cost $10. To add fresh sausage to your kit adds about $5
