Walle Files Suit Against Graziano, Hathcock and City
Chris Dovi and Richmond Magazine.com have the details on the $200,000 in compensatory and $350,000 in punitive damages suit filed on behalf of Jennifer Walle.
The complaint against the City Council president — Hathcock’s boss — stems from Graziano’s handling of an inquiry into Walle’s complaint that shifted its focus away from Hathcock, says Fisher, instead directing attention to Councilman Tyler. During a period in August, Walle was placed in a position of having to work through Hathcock, according to a series of e-mails obtained by Richmond magazine. Tyler has been a frequent rival for leadership of City Council. He has said that during her inquiry, Graziano suggested that he dismiss Walle. Tyler has indicated that Walle’s reassignment to working through Hathcock was done with Graziano’s knowledge.

It’s 2011, sexual harassment in the workplace should be extinct by now. I hope Walle takes ‘em to the cleaners.
Generally, employees are put on leave pending an investigation of sexual harrassment. Will that happen in this case with Mrs. Graziano and Mr. Hathcock? Is it just my imagination or did the Richmond Times Dispatch totally ignore this story?
From Style Twitter this morning: Jennifer Walle: Will drop $550,000 lawsuit against city, Graziano, Hathcock if a sincere apology issued WRVA 1140AM.
Will Graziano counter by demanding she ask Bruce Tyler for an apology as well?
