Live Music on Hold at Plaza Bowl

Recently I’d noticed a lack of live music being advertised for Plaza Bowl. When asked about it Plaza Bowl responded, “We hope to have more live bands again in the near future, but for right now weve just been focusing our attention on our core business, bowling.” I sent an inquiry into Tiffany Community Chest which had been booking bands but haven’t heard back. If I hear any more I’ll let you know. Personally I’m disappointed in this turn of events. I loved the Plaza Bowl as a music venue and was one of the few places (besides Legend) to see live music in our area.

Update 6:30 – Received an email reply from Tiffany Community Chest. “Unfortunately, plaza bowl stopped producing seasonal crowds and we were unable to draw our following or convince some of the more popular Richmond acts to play there.  Long story short, we started assuming major financial hits on shows with guarantees and Jim, the owner, was unable to pay us our commission.”
