Two Years and Still Rolling
Today marks my 2 year anniversary of heading up H&H. This is post is the 2,480th time I’ve shared something with the community. I truly appreciate all those that take the time to read Hills and Heights and special thanks to those that have contributed.
In the coming year we plan on updating the design and layout. On a personal level I hope to share more photos, try my hand at few restaurant reviews, and an editorial or two. What changes would you like to see in 2011?

Richard:
Keep up the good work. While I read the RTD each morning, I look at H&H everyday for my main interests, and you are on target! Thank you!
Anne
Agree with Anne. This blog is a wonderful resource, in fact the only real resource, for community news. Thanks Richard!
Wonderful blog. Your new ideas sound great. I check in a least 3-4 times per week to get the latest goings on.
A valuable community resource, Richard, without the invective and meanness of spirit that affects so many neighborhood blogs.
First place I check when I get back in town. I still want more stories about the area the way it was back 30, 40, 50, 60 years ago. Sigh. Didn’t anybody keep the interviews they did with their grandparents?
Keep up the good work, Richard. Your design changes sound like pitch-perfect adjustments to a resource that already serves the community so well.
Thanks for everything you do!
I agree with Cindi! Having lived in Southside since the early 70′s and finally become a “native,” I love hearing about the “old days” and can even myself remember the old stores in the shopping strip along Forest Hill including the 5 & dime, both levels of the Standard Drug and the topless club, not that I ever frequented it :)
Great work!
Job well done Richard! Thanks for putting in all the hard work to make this such a great resource for H&H. Looking forward to the new year.
Thanks for putting in the work on this it is very helpful, informative and nice to have around!
That 5 & dime was serious business. I grew up in the Carillon neighborhood and my mother would bring me across the bridge to shop. I would get a little white paper bag with a handful of lemon drops in it. Good times!
Great work Richard. Thanks you for your dedication and good luck with your resolution to post more photos! [Add all the links to http://www.JRNH.net
Love the blog! It makes me feel a little more connected to the Hills and Heights community. (I live on a street where most folks keep to themselves.)
Adding my thanks for this excellent resource for our neighborhoods. Your work is appreciated.
From helping me find my escaped pup (http://hillsandheights.org/2009/11/17/3-dogs-found/) to keeping me in the know with the happenings in the neighborhood. Ya’ll do a great job and as Cate said…you are very much appreciated.
I just want to be sure that I pass along my thanks for your excellent work and dedication to the site. Although I don’t comment very often, I check the site daily and am grateful for your efforts to keep us all informed and entertained. Many, many thanks!
On behalf of everyone at Westover Hills Library, I would like to especially say thanks for all that you have done in helping to promote library events and raise awareness of issues related to the branch. H&H is a wonderful community resource. Considerable effort and dedication are required for that to be the case. We are most grateful for all of the hard work. Warmest good wishes for the new year!
I am new to the H&H but I love it! It’s better than the TV news.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
