I started a list the day after Thanksgiving of locals that could offer quality Christmas gifts. There were some additions in the comments so I wanted to post the list again and ask for more ideas. Blue Iris Handcrafts (http://www.etsy.com/people/BlueIrisHandcrafts)has wonderful reversible tote bags for kids and adults, as well as lots of other goodies. My kids love the ones I bought for them. And the owner/seamstress is a H&H resident. You can also find some of her goods at the Bizarre Market upstairs in Chop Suey books until Christmas.
I’ll add the two new ones (Dan & Blue Iris) to next weeks list. Once you start to list them we have quite the creative community.
Thanks so much for the mention here – what an honor to be included among such amazing local talent. Tim and I just bought our Christmas tree from the Greenhouse bus across from Martins over the weekend (advertised on your site). We love it and loved even more that we could help support local business.
Thanks for keeping us all informed!
My pleasure to keep you informed (semi-informed might be more apt) and an equal pleasure to list everyone. I’ll be adding Greenhouse bus to the next list. Here is a direct link for Snider Bros. who run the bus: http://www.wix.com/sniderbros/snider-bros
Went ahead and added all the suggestions to the list. Keep’em coming.
