Volunteers Needed for Lunch Date with the Future
Kelly Elias is the 4th & 5th grade teacher at theĀ Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts and heads up the Lunch Date with the Future Program and is looking for a little help from the community. They have an upcoming lunch event on 12/17 at 12:30 p.m. and still have 5-6 openings for community volunteers to attend lunch. Kelly and the students are officially inviting their Hills & Heights neighbors to learn about the program and stop by to meet the inaugural 4th & 5th grade classes of PHSSA. You don’t need to have a student attending RPS/Patrick Henry or live in Woodland Heights to participate, any and all are welcome.
Quick Facts:
- Sign up & read more at VALunchDate.com (I’m not seeing where you sign up on that website and I’m looking into the answer.)
- Dress is business attire
- Arrive at the front desk by 12:20 to sign in; they’ll escort guests to the lunch.
- You’ll have lunch with the students, who will be showing off their newly learned dining and conversational etiquette.
- Popular conversation topics: what you do for a profession, the students’ favorite topics & activities, etc.
Richmond Magazine.com ran a story a little while ago, which really gives you a feel for the program.

Hey Richard on the website it is under the attend a lunch tab up top. Sounds like a great program and I always enjoy lunch.
Thanks

Thanks Tim. I swear to God I didn’t see those links before. I’m going to blame my browser rather than my inability to pay attention to the details.
