Benny’s Announcement Coming Soon
Benny’s BBQ is inches away from a new lease and an announcement “that will be huge — huge,” owner Richard Cacciotti says about the still-secret location. He’s leaving the long-running corner spot in Stratford Hills next month and launching a wider menu in a place “that will be a big deal for Richmond. Big!” Consider the campaign started.
Any bets? Is the Southbank establishment going to move out of our area? Anybody with any insider information?
Maybe the former Moe’s location? or out to the county?
Hopefully, “huge” means bigger, better (and more onion rings), and not a huge move to another area. I am anxiously awaiting the news.
Tangentially related, Parkside Cafe further down the road said on Twitter that they should announce an opening date “soon”.
Maybe the “old” McDonalds since they are moving into the new space?
Maybe next to Hallmark at Stony Point shopping Center. Just a guess.
I really hope that they stay in the immediate neighborhood and don’t move to a mall, but I have a feeling that my hopes will be dashed.

I noticed the lights on at the long defunct Mexican restaurant at Stony Point (across from Champps). I wonder….?
Word round the campfire is they are moving to Belle Cuisine’s old location at Stony Point Shopping Center.
