Change at Patrick Henry School Board
Chris Dovi and Richmond Magazine.com have the news of a vote on Friday to remove Reggie Malone, current Vice President, from the Patrick Henry board. The vote appears to be the result of Mr. Malone’s feuding with the Patrick Henry board and parents, mainly over financing issues.
And by the sound of recent events, he’s been pretty bad inside, with reports of his full-court press exerted against board members and parents emerging for months. Earlier this fall, after Patrick Henry board treasurer Susan Martin’s term on the board expired, her replacement, Marjorie Bertolino, was short-lived in the position.
Malone acknowledges that he pushed both hard.
The results of an audit should be available early in 2011.
The school is scheduled to undergo the first outside audit of its finances in coming months, says Patrick Henry spokeswoman Kristen Larson, with the results of that audit expected to be released publicly sometime in January.
