The railroad bridge is one of my all time favorite bridges! To me it is very Richmond and very cool. Fun little game to play can you guess the number of arches in that bridge? *HINT* There are more then you would think.
Can I buy this picture from you? I love it, Used to live in Richmond and I saw this bridge every morning I commuted from the South Side to the West End.

But wouldn’t it be environmentally wasteful to build a new bridge when the RR bridge is till working perfectly, and is beautiful to boot?
I am thinking of other bridges, not necessarily replacing the railway bridge.

Yesterday morning, about 7:30 from the Powhite…mist coming off the river, the bridge silouetted against a rose/orange sky. A very nice place to be.
