Help Westover Hills Elementary on HandsOn Day
On Saturday, October 16th, HandsOn Greater Richmond will host the third annual HandsOn Day. During this all day volunteer event, 1000+ local citizens will transform our community by volunteering at one of over 40 nonprofits, city parks, and schools. Projects include park clean-up and restoration, housing rehab for elderly citizens, arts and crafts with children, and more.
Last year Huguenot High received some love. Check out as these pictures to see what was accomplished in one day at just one location. This year one of the local projects is Westover Hills Elementary.
Volunteers will help Westover Hills Elementary School prepare their school’s courtyard for outdoor learning.
Specific Tasks:
- Work with the school’s art teacher to paint state of VA on courtyard concrete and refresh existing paint projects.
- Help weed, plant, and clean-up school’s courtyard.
This is a perfect opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference please consider giving up part of you Saturday for this great cause. Click on the link below to sign up and get more details.

I did this last year at Westover Hills, and it was such a worthwhile experience. It’s a good feeling to pitch in for the sake of our neighborhood school.
