Sectors 312/112/311 Police Reports for August

Lt. Stephen McQuail is the new officer overseeing Sector 312 and has released the report for the month of August. He comes to us with 15 years of service with RPD and most recently was assigned to the Police Academy as the Recruit Training Sergeant. Contact information for Lt. August was, for the most part, a quiet and peaceful month in Sector 312. Violent crime was down 56% for the month. Specifically, robberies of individuals were down 78%. Major crime was down 8%. Major crime is generally property crime, such as burglaries, thefts from motor vehicles and automobile theft.

Towards the end of the month we did see an increase of burglaries of outbuildings. There was in increase of 33% regarding this particular crime. Locks to sheds were cut off and various items were taken from the outbuildings. Unfortunately, it is sometimes several days until the owner notices the break in and theft. Please check your property daily and call us if you see anything that you believe is suspicious.
