Suspicious Activity in Westover Hills Tonight With Suspect Description

Received this email tonight from a Westover Hill resident at 10:48.

I pulled onto Caledonia off of WH Blvd and saw a blue pick-up truck slowly coming out of the alley onto Caledonia. Instead of turning on Caledonia, they went across the street into the alley btw Caledonia and new Kent. I edged my car up to check it out and the driver had gotten out of the car and was walking towards a neighbor’s a garage. I backed up my car and called 911 to give a description. When I got off the call, I inched back into the alley to see if I could follow him, but the truck was long gone. I went up and down a few streets/alleys, but couldn’t find him. The police were there within 5 minutes.

The truck was a full size, older ford pick-up. I would guess from the 70′s or 80′s. The driver was african american. I originally thought it was a female, but looked more like a male once they were out of the truck walking to the garage. Maybe had some hair tied up behind his head. White tee-shirt. Slim and seemed young, but it was dark.

If there is only one person at work here, I’d ask everyone to keep their eyes out for a blue ford pick-up trolling their alleys at about this time (10:30-ish).

I came home around 10:40 and saw 3 patrol cars in the neighborhood. The RPD are being very responsive on these reports.
