Thanks for the post, Richard and John M — things in this area of Semmes sure have changed. I think I like the “then” better. Looked like an active, lively neighborhood. I wonder what “Olive’s Grill” was like?
Thanks for the posting. I didn’t move to the area till 1972 and used to commute down that way. There was still a “neighborhood” there then but I never saw this part! Would love to see more pix.
And 1954 was such a great year!~
